Moorpark ended the first half on an 18-4 run Wednesday night and went on to beat SBCC 85-62 in a WSC North game at the Sports Pavilion.
Sahdi Odu scored 18 points and grabbed five offensive rebounds for the Raiders (1-4, 6 13), who snapped a 10-game losing streak.
Rico Failla tallied 11 of his 15 points in the second half for the Vaqueros (4-13, 0-5), who were outshot 56.5 to 38 percent and committed 13 first-half turnovers. Moorpark led 45-28 at halftime.
"They did a good job of imposing their will on the offensive boards," said coach Morris Hodges. "We had 13 turnovers in the first half, leading to 15 points. I thought they were more aggressive. We couldn't attack and we were back on a heels a little."
The Vaqueros were down 27-24 with 4:48 to go in the first half but managed just one field goal and two free throws while Moorpark was scoring 18 points.
The deficit grew to 23 points in the first four minutes of the second half (55-32) after a 10-4 Raider burst.
Trace Yager had nine points for the Vaqueros with Logan Louks, Jalani Davis and Michael Hansen all scoring eight.
