Mt. San Antonio College's Distance Learning Committee conducted a mock review of 17 DE courses, learned lessons, and began addressing the gaps. The process yielded important lessons such as the need for a refresher online teaching training, more robust DE course development rubric, a more robust definition of "regular and effective contact," and contract language for conducting classroom evaluations. The mock review process, and attendant lessons, may be useful for colleges preparing for evaluation team visits, if only to avoid reinventing the wheel!
